12. Coldplay owe their success to Radiohead.
Chris Martin should spend his night kissing a picture of Thom Yorke, saying 'Thank you for my millions, Thom, thank you thank you thank you.'

15. Yeah, they really are a dumbed-down version of Radiohead
It makes sense why I can't stand Coldplay, because I can take or leave Radiohead for the most part.

Still, I have a lot more respect for Radiohead than I do for Coldplay. At least Radiohead writes their own music.

17. Listen to Coldplay's "Twisted Logic"
Melody: Radiohead's "A Wolf at the Door"
Chorus: Radiohead's "Electioneering"
Verses: The concept of OK Computer

To add insult to injury, Coldplay's "X&Y" (the song) is the same damn thing as Radiohead's "Sail to the Moon".

6. At least Viva La Vida was better than X&Y
Edited on Sun Feb-08-09 07:52 PM by EastTennesseeDem
which is akin to saying that Osama bin Laden is better than Josef Stalin.

Just to clear the air: I really though A Rush of Blood to the Head was a pretty damn good album. I know I know...

It's like death by hanging or death by electrocution. Either way, you're still dead.

That's about it! I wonder what the equivalent of Gram Parsons would be to Coldplay. Maybe Kurt Cobain?

9. I can live in that world as long as it has Saint Joe
Satriani (ripped off by Cold-plagarism) giving an autograph in Colombia:

19. I don't hate them
It's just that I've kind of gotten the feeling from listening to these last two albums that they're just not trying that hard. They know they'll make zillions and it sounds like they're sacrificing quality for it.

I still listen to Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head from time to time.
