3. i bought 2 pairs of jeans in the past 2 months, i cannot buy anymore, for real.
1 pair of lucky's and a pair of true religion. Okay 2 good things, i bought a pair of shoes i'd been wanting for months, i finally got them on sale and paid about half what they were listed for originally and i got yet another pair of sneakers but i had a $15 off thing from famous footwear and they were already 30% off---see how much i saved! Oh yeah, both pairs of jean---made in the usa!

17. the ones i got had a 36 inch inseam, i'm not sure if they had longer ones though
Lucky's come in 36 as well, Rock and Republic might be another brand to look at as well, i think they come in longer lengths, i'd buy a pair but i'm out of birthday and Christmas money which is what i used to buy the pairs i got in the past 2 months.

18. I can get away with a 36" but 40" is optimal
Good to know they come in a 36"

I love Lucky Brand. My SIL knows someone who works for them so I just have to tell her the size and style and give her the money and I get them at 40% off retail.

Lucky at 40% off? :D

I went by their store in Santa Monica when I was down there. They had some stuff on clearance, but nothing in my size. I did find a nice t-shirt 50% off.

I LOVE Lucky!

4. Grrr. No Tall sizes
Not like I can take them to the tailors and say "can you let these down about 2"?"

Went through a stack of about 75 jeans at Macy's - in Tall Regular and Short, and not one damned Tall in my size.

And the local Tall Girl store went out of business when their primary supplier shut down.

It's hard out there for an amazon, I'm tellin' ya.

29. I did find a site for x-tall pantyhose
http://www.mytights.com/mytights/findit/ExtraTall.html

The only caveat is that you need to understand denier numbers - what you and I think of as "tights" are not what the Brits think of as "tights". I was expected opaque, and got pantyhose, but I couldn't be happier with the prices, quality and fit. And the shipping wasn't as appaling as expected, probably because they ship in an envelope instead of a box. The Levante brand is very nice. WoMan brand is quite popular with men who wear pantyhose, but hey - I don't care, just so that the crotch is not floating down around my knees.

This woman has put together some tall resources:
http://thatothertallgirl.blogspot.com/2008/03/dealing-with-our-long-legs-resources.html

But sadly for you, KW, "extra tall" is only 36".

I am short-waisted and wear a 9. I can wear an 8, but if I am going to pay those prices, I want a good fit.
