Sad to say. Allen Iverson and Steve Nash are on the downward slide
of their careers. I'm not saying they aren't good players, but they are former shadows of themselves. AI doesn't have the moves and the game changing intensity he used to have. Nash, who I always loved as not only a point but a great shooter, has lost the consistency of his outside shot. You can see that he isn't getting the lift from his legs when he lets the ball go.

Again, two fine players. But in NBA time, they are getting up there in age. I'm really seeing it tonight. There are flashes of brilliance, but it's not the same.

2. This is true
but Shaq seems to have found the fountain of youth this year. Rumors of his demise have been greatly exaggerated.

3. I think that the wear and tear on their small bodies was inevitable
Say what you want to about AI he comes hard every single game, always has. Even my brother had to admit it and he HATES primadonna types

BTW- AI was THE star of Virginia football and basketball in high school. I think (THINK) that AI was playing at Bethel as Curry started at Hampton and Vick was about to begin at Warwick. I might be wrong about that timeline. I have heard several scouts and Bobby Bowden (if that means anything to you) say that AI could have gone straight to the NFL as a Deion type corner (no tackle-shut down half the field). When he played at Bethel they just stopped punting it inbounds because there was better than a 50/50 chance he would take it back for a TD.
