I don't know what's wrong with me tonight...
Normally, I have a poem, or something funny or serious to say, or maybe even pics...

But tonight I feel tongue-tied, and stupid...

Surrounded by my friends, all of whom are being witty, funny, smart, over the top...

But still...

I want to be here, talking to all of you...

I do hope I'm the only one who feels stupid...

:dunce:

4. Peggy!
Edited on Mon Feb-09-09 01:35 AM by nadine_mn
I often feel that way.. but that's because I have been unemployed for a year and a half and spend all day with 3 (was four but one recently passed away) large dogs and a cat.

When I do get the chance to have adult conversation, all I seem able to is point out something the furry kids did.

I haven't been witty in ages, so tonite you and I are good company.

Rock on California Peggy, tomorrow is another day and as my grandpa said.. birds will be singing and the sun will shine and how can you not smile at that?

:hi:

15. Tonight's silence ...
... is the place where your heart beats, quietly anticipating the birth of tomorrow's words.

When you are a wordsmith, as you truly are, your lack of words speaks louder than the millions of words of many.

Sleep - and dream. And let your soul sing in the morning of new beginnings, inspired by the silent yearnings that fleetingly embraced you in the dead of night.

The words are there - you only need capture them in your net, and give them flight at dawn.

16. Wow, Nance: that's beautiful.
Happy birthday, BTW.

And Peggy: we don't always have to be witty and charming. Sometimes we just have to let ourselves be quiet and process what we've learned. The odd thing is that we usually feel sort of stupid when we're doing it, but sometimes it's the smartest thing to do.

Rest and relax. The words will still be there when you're ready for them.

Ah, how right you are: we don't always have to be witty and charming...

But sometimes I just cannot stand being stupid!

And tonight, reading some of my friends' posts...

Well, I felt stupid.

So there you are...

Thank you, sweetie...
