1. In MN, if you don't remove your house, you're fined. If the DNR gets to your house before it falls

in, they confiscate it and can resell it. Why wouldn't you pull it off the lake? For sure you want to use it next year.

2. They are re-used year to year

and these days, most of them are pretty decked out, too: stereos, satellite TV, beds, stoves, you name it.

Back in my grandfather's icefishing days (60s & early 70s), people thought he was pretty ostentatious when he had a portable b&w TV in his fishhouse.
