23. WRONG!!!!!
First time that happened to me was at Fuddrucker's a LONG time ago, and I was startled, until I realized I was being waited on by a fetus. I had the good sense to ask how much the discount was, and whatever it was (who remembers?), I took it.

Take 'em all......................

36. Senior discounts usually are for those 55 and up.
If you are only 51, you are only a few years away from it.

5. Take it.
In these times (or any times, when I come to think of it), if you don't grab whatever entitlements you have, those offering are just going to take the money and use it to get into mischief. If you deserve the discount, grasp it with both hands.

Not doing so is like having full medical coverage from your employer and not taking advantage of it by getting regularly scheduled checkups from your GP, your eyes looked at by an optometrist, your teeth cleaned by a hygienist, that mole removed, etc.

I caught myself just the other day telling my daughters college friends about growing up without a microwave. They were wide eyed and I was just :scared: because I sounded just like my grandmother when she use to tell her stories about growing up without indoor plumbing......

Take the discount..If you don't need it give it to the foodbank....

Circle of life sucks sometimes but that big wheel keeps on turning..and..Just be glad you saw Tina in her day!

24. I enjoy it most
when telling youngsters about sex in the sixties.

They stare, wide-eyed and open-mouthed.

I rub it in.

It's the last pleasure I have left.......................

I've been called "Ma'am" since I moved here at the tender age of 28.

Now, when I notice it, I like it.

That was my first.
Now?
They don't even ask if I qualify.
They just take a look at my face.
It's got 'geezer' written all over it.

17. When I used to have a job at the zoo
God, how I hated it when a fringe maybe-or-maybe-not-senior showed up. Would charging him less offend him? Or would charging him more make him think I'm ripping him off?

Senior discounts are hell for people in the service industry who have them.

21. Sometimes they'll give it to any middle-aged person
who is polite to them and that they like, whether or not they look 65. This happens in fast-food restaurants, anyway.

28. Happened to me last week. I was at Wendy's, and the manager
was training a newbie. She rings the stuff up, and then the manager leans over and hits the keyboard, and says "Don't forget the 15% discount." I wondered why I was getting a discount, when the newbie says, "Oh, yeah. That's easy for me to forget about, since I'm only 23." Then I got it! And thought..."Hey!" :grr:
