1. I use Avast, and have never had a problem with it.
Unlike MacAfee.

2. I use Avast.
It is always letting me know that the virus database has been updated. It's the first Anti-Virus Software that I've really liked.

3. A third Avast user here.
I use AVG on my desktop and that's good too.

8. Avast, AntiVir, PC Tools.
Avast and AntiVir are both excellent free antivirus programs, and I use them interchangeably. PC Tools is a good free antivirus program that is lighter on system resources than Avast or AntiVir.

I have 3 notebooks, and am running all 3 antivirus programs at the moment - PC Tools on an old Dell laptop with 512mb ram, Avast on an Acer netbook with 1g ram, and Avira on an HP notebook with 4g ram.
