Or what?

If indeed it was a domestic abuse incident, I wish she'd press charges (sounds like she won't). I really have no clue about 'current' music, though, so any enlightenment as to who this dickhead is would be appreciated.

1. Yep
They are...or were...together. He has some popular songs. She has some popular songs. I don't know if they lived together, though.

2. If Rhianna doesn't press charges, her credibility is over...
Thus far, she's made her budding career with the image of the strong, take-no-shit independent young woman. Songs like "Take a Bow" went as far as they did on the charts not just because of her singing quality (which is itself substantial) but because of the 'stand up for yourself' message behind it.

If Brown did this to her, and she declines to press charges, this will send a message to her fans that she is full of shit, and it's all just an act-- and one that her female fans won't appreciate in the least.

6. I hope she does press charges, but we aren't in her shoes.
Many people abused won't and don't press charges. I hope she is strong enough and has strong enough people around her to help her "see".

3. I asked the same question -
they are referring to him as a rap superstar -- I've heard of Rhianna but never heard of him.....

4. He's not so much a 'rapper' as he is an R&B vocalist...
The thing he's probably best known for is the duet "No Air" that he did with Jordin Sparks last year, but he's released at least a half0dozen songs of his own in the last year or two.

7. And even more so, he is one awesome dancer.
Such a shame. The radio this morning pulled up an interview he had on the Tyra Banks show where he talked about watching his mom get beat by a boyfriend and how he would never put a woman through that. Abuse is such a vicious cycle.

5. Re:Who is Chris Brown

Chris Brown is like the Micheal Jackson of this generation, minus the talent of course.

He's a cookie cutter R&B/hip hop artist, who is extremely popular with tweens and teens.

He is currently dating pop sensation Rihanna, and has been dating her for over a yr now.

Chris Brown and Rihanna had a fight right before the Grammy's,and this fight resulted in her being bitten, and punched a few times in the face,
and she apparently had to go to the hospital to be treated.

The police also said that she had tons of visible bruises.

I too hope Rihanna charges this dude with assault,or it sends the message that physical abuse is ok,and that is just wrong.

Oh,and Rihanna needs to kick this coward to the curb, because only
a coward would assault a woman like that.

The cops will press them. That's the way domestic abuse cases work out here. (This was California, right?)
