Good morning Lounge
How are you today? I have the feeling if the day continues as it started I better should have stayed home. First, I wasn't able to get out of bed. Then when I wanted to upload "Countdown" on my iPod itunes got messed up and I had to restart my computer. When I was going out of the house door (bear in mind I live on the 9th floor - with elevator) I saw that it was raining like hell. So I had to go up again and get my umbrella. And I didn't had time for breakfast since I got up late. So I bought me a sweet piece. At least I managed to make me my salad for lunch.

Picture of the Day
In memories of the old times (Outer Banks 1995 - I am on the right)

The beauty of a sick 9 year-old is they can pretty much fend for themselves, just can't be left alone. ;)

I just don't want her to get really sick because she is going to sleepaway camp on Sunday for a week, and it would suck for me to have spent all that money just to have her be in the infirmary.

28. REALLY Bad...
It is really more money than I should have spent, but she loves camp so much. She is an only child, and sort of a loner because she is "smart". Camp is the only place where all the kids are on the same footing socially, at least in the beginning, and she seemed to fit in really well.

I hope the weather improves. That will cheer up the day. :)

It is going to rain here today too but not until later in the day. I'm already feeling the weather creeping into my joints. So we're going from a sunny morning to a dark, cold and wet evening.

11. So true
I love the ocean. So while I was an intern in Savannah, I went to the beach almost every weekend ... even though it was winter. I enjoyed just sitting there, listening to the waves or find a windstill place and read or walk on the shoreline. *sigh* I miss the ocean.

Happy Tuesday. And sorry about your day starting out like that.
I bruised my big toe last night so now it is painful to wear a shoe and walk.
I was planning on exercising this morning but that is out of the question now
Besides all of that the weather here is amazingly mild for February. I havent had to wear a jacket in almost a week.
Yay global warming and screw AL Gore! (I am kidding) lol

I'm out of salad fixings so my lunch is going to consist of a can of lentil soup. At least it's easy to prepare. ;)

you know you could make your own dressing :D Or did you mean you have no salad and veggies at home?

Lentil soup is yummy too. Especially home made lentil soup :9

I've only been that one time (1995) to the Outer Banks. I want to go back. Maybe next time I come to the U.S. we could go there together. You, AirmensMom and me ... and rent a house. Maybe some other DUers like Tuesday Afternoon and blueraven and malta blue could join us ... oh, that would be fun :bounce:

Visiting the Outer Banks would be fun. I hear other DUer's speak of that area with fondness.

Gotta head out to work, so wishing you a grand day.

That's a great pic! You look so happy! :loveya:

Yesterday went well. Found out that the reason I didn't hear any talking in the house is that Sashka went outside and got the s**t scared out of her by Sylvester ... literally. So harleydad was up on the porch hosing it off when the guys arrived. Poor Sashka. They only want to play, but she's so afraid of the younger kitties. Then, later, she got on the roof and didn't know how to get back off. It was a horrible day for her. I let her eat supper alone after all that.

It's always good to see your smilin' face. :)

I just got in from work and had a bite to eat. Extra lean ground sirloin, green beans, mushrooms, bread, and water. That's a typical supper on the diet I've been on for the last month. Looks like a lot, but I think there is only about 400 calories there. I weighed in at the clinic yesterday and I have lost 18.2 pounds in my first month on the program. I've got a ways to go yet, but I'm feeling optimistic. My body feels a lot better, too. I have more energy and my knees hurt less after work.
