1. Not sure what an earworm is, but I don't remember ever hearing this on the radio

Darlin, Wild Honey, and maybe Aren't you glad are the only ones from Wild Honey I recall hearing, and you never hear those anymore either. What a great album though...I love all that late 60's /early 70's Beachboys stuff (and equally love all the original surf and hot-rod stuff). Brian was, and I suppose, still is, a true melodic and harmonic genius............... Kind of a ridiculous tangent ,but Them's Here Comes the Night is a classic too. ( Van Morrison, speaking of musical geniuses).

4. Wow-that Jimmy Norman R&B song is incredible

I'm always amazed at not only the political awareness of people on DU, but the musical knowledge of some of us ( not the Rush/metal etc fans, but again, to each their own I guess)... But I've prided myself on not just being a decent musician but being extremely knowledgeable about the whole history of rock/r&b etc. but I'd never heard this song nor of Jimmy Norman....( and of course equally impressed with raccoon having a relatively obscure Beachboys album cut running through his, or her, head). Hope both of you are having (appropriately enough) a pleasant Tuesday afternoon. abq e streeter
