Hey, banks, here's an idea...put a couple security cameras at avg face height
I just watched the brilliant :eyes: security shots of a bank robber taken today. Made off with a bunch of Bank of America's cash. Best anyone can tell, it's a human with two arms wearing a hoodie. Why? Because it's shot from a high angle and guess what? Egads! The crim didn't look directly into the camera.

When is Bank of America going to hire me for head of field security? I'll do it for likely less than the current idiot.

1. Give all the tellers a button (or name tag) camera.

4. You! You will be my second in command in security at BOA.
That's the thinking I'm talking about. Even a single camera at face height at the entrance would be better, but I like your idea. Might get shots of teeth, facial features.

And hey, how about in color??

8. These cameras are easy enough to buy at any "Spy" shop.
Plus, B of A has a good chunk of MY money. I'd like it safely kept.

2. Maybe they should put the camera in the bank owner's office.
There's a fuckload more being stolen there, than by some two-bit hood.

:eyes:

5. I'd heard (unconfirmed) that BOA used some $10 million in bailout money to throw a superbowl party
so it would appear that they're not too interested in patrolling the bursting edges of their stash :/

7. It's not just BOA, it's every bank and pawn shop and 7-11...
Who thought that up? "Hi, I'm stupid, lets put a camera at a dumb angle with a shitty lens. Crims beware!"

6. Place hidden cameras on each breast of each teller.
You know, to get various angle shots of the robber.

9. BofA already stole a bunch of my money. Plenty of cameras: it was on CSPAN.
But hey, I figure any that gets stolen (again) or wasted on parties they can't spend on mountaintop removal or some crazy shit like that. And they'll make it up on fees fast enough, since they nickel and dime people well enough to give the cable company lessons.

Worst. Bank. Evar.

10. I used to install security cameras
I always installed the door cameras far from the door for just that reason-To get a good shot of the face.
You would not believe how many people complained because it was not right at the door.

14. BOA needs those signs reminding robbers to please remove hats/hoods/headgear
If they had the sign, then the robber is just inconsiderate.
