1. I like Stump. He is a cool dog. However I liked the Giant Schnauzer too. It |
|
was a toss up here in my living room.
Did you hear the part about how Stump had been out of the ring for 5 yrs because he became ill, nearly died and was brought back by the Texas A & M Veterinary Hospital? Neat story.
They were all gorgeous.

4. Stump has a great backstory! I was also torn between the Giant Schnauzer and the Poodle. |
|
The Poodle's backstory was creepy. His father has been dead for 20 years, and he was conceived with frozen sperm.

But what a wonderful story about Stump. Makes a human feel very proud that they gave this great dawg a chance to grab the brass ring. Woof!

5. And what an inspired idea by his owner. To take him out of retirement and show him. |
|
I heard this AM that he competed against one of his sons!
Although I only have kitties now, I adore dogs.

6. I fear the fix was in... Comeback stories are more common in... |
|
the Olympics and auto-racing. I think the judges might have looked at Stump with a little more sympathy. I was sure the poodle had it. (Poodles have consistently won over the last few years.)

10. Supposedly the judges were sequestered prior to the judging and the dogs |
|
were only identified by their number within their breed. This woman who judged for Best In Show is a seasoned dog person and might have known it was Stump so honestly, I don't know.

Who knew you had to alert for spoilers about the stupid dog show? ;) I still get to enjoy checking out all the dogs.

But I was diappointed that Ginger, the Shih-Tzu, didn't at least win the Toy Group. She is the definition of "regal."

22. I love the working group too. I was rooting for the Boxer, although I knew deep |
|
down Spirit the Schnauzer was going to take it. The Boxer came in second. I grew up with a Boxer and although I have adored all the dogs I've had in my life, Taffy was the best dog a kid could have growing up.

23. My daughter has a friend that has a giant Schnauzer, her name is Roxy and she is about the |
|
sweetest dog i know, she's a total love. When i went to her house she goes nuts in a big happy way and then right after you get in and she kisses you she hits the ground on her back and awaits the belly rub.
