33. hmmm, hard to say, in some ways what she has chosen to do seems rather

narcissistic. But then again lots of people have more kids than they are able to take care of, and that doesn't mean they qualify for a diagnosis. Not knowing anything about her, her family history or her mental status per se, it would be (fortunately) pretty difficult to say. I would think some folks who perform IVF might have folks fill out some kind of MH questionnaire first to determine their stability and ability to deal with the accompanying stress, but OTOH having any kind of mental illness or stress doesn't preclude one from procreating...


I only hope she has a lot of support, she's really going to need it.

even adopting is wicked expensive. I'm certified to do foster care, and sometimes do respite care through an agency in town. So, I've been through all the psych evals, home visits, etc. Yet, having kids still seems out of reach at least financially. But this person not only does it, but is now asking for help paying for it?! :grr:
