I've been so busy, I feel like I haven't really been here much. :hi:

I'm really enjoying my Internship! I can't say exactly where I work, but I'm basically working for the city of Boston, in City Hall, downtown.

It's really hard to adjust to getting up at 6am, working in a cubicle for 9-5, dressing like a grownup, etc. But, it's getting easier. :)

Just wanted to say hi. I just got home from work, and am enjoying a cocktail before I start my evening knitting.

I've done it with 1/2 lb of pasta, 1/2 lb of bacon, 2 eggs, etc. It always works out. :)

Plus, the leftovers are just as good, if not better. :D

12. Glad things are going well.

I've been thinking about my next project. I don't know what it's going to be yet, but I did make an abacus bracelet! It keeps track of what row you're on when knitting or crocheting something.

Here's a pic of one (not the one I made, though)


The big beads are 10s and the small beads are 1s and you just slide the small ring to keep count.

And we have to get a new couch, because ours has officially died.

I really should get back into beading and making jewelery...but that was so long ago...

Making jewelry is another of the many crafty things that I do. My poor craft storage rack is overflowing into other places now. There are way too many cool beading and jewelry items to choose from. You should definitely get back into it.

I used to spend hours in the 70s making macrame jewelry...
Now all I do is find an odd earring and put it on a piece of lace...:blush:
I used to sew, also. Made a lot of my daughter's dresses when she was little...
I have to go back to my 'old' ways....need to be old and crafty.:D

I just spent about an hour and a half catching up on all the dirty dishes on our kitchen counter, since our dishwasher broke. :(

Why can't I be a princess that does not have to do dishes by hand. :crazy:

I don't mind hand washing, ever since I literally did 100+ dishes at my parents' house in December. :o

But practically every dish in the house was dirty because I have been sick and our dishwasher is broken and I am saving up to pay the service fee to fix it.
