1. I think it was a camel.
But yeah, it does bring Blazing Saddles to mind.

Crom will laugh at you and cast you from Valhalla.

here it is:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_gordon#Comic_strip_plot_summary

The story begins with Earth bombarded by fiery meteors. Dr. Zarkov believes the meteors are from outer space, and invents a rocket ship to locate their place of origin. Half mad, he kidnaps Flash and Dale, whose plane has crash-landed in the area, and the three travel to the planet Mongo, where they discover that the meteors are weapons devised by Ming the Merciless, evil ruler of Mongo.

Even this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ming_the_Merciless
Still doesn't say where he's "from" though...

5. I saw the video at Goodwill today!
Thought about buying it for two bucks...but decided to get "Red Sonja" and "The Sword and the Sorceror" instead...(don't ask me why, I've just had a hankering to watch old sword and sorceror and medieval movies lately. Most have been entertaining, but I have to get back and finish "ladyhawke"...the music really irritates me!

15. It's awesome...
I hope you don't mind. I copied it to my laptop and I've been using it to make posters for a weekly prayer group...this church group hired me to design them a solid, full-color reusable flyer for their prayer circle. As a secular humanist, it's my subtle innocuous prank they'll never pick up on.
