Amazon Kindle 2 eReader - to be released on Feb 24th

Thought you might want to know and pre-order now from Amazon.com. I had a Kindle 1 and it was very good. This is even better and includes features like Read-aloud for any book (or newspaper/periodical, I believe) and free wireless connectivity you can even use to get your email and read webpages. Hint: Amazon gets quickly backordered on this device and the resale price goes to $100 or more over the $359 asking price.

I like the redesigned case. I have yet to see e-Inc in use, but I would buy this in a heartbeat. There are plenty of reference books I could use alongside my AlphaSmart :D

5. I think there is an MS converter for .lit to .doc. Then...

when have .doc or .HTML or text files there is two ways to upload them to your Kindle: 1) pay Amazon $0.10 to email directly to you or 2) email them to your unique Kindle email, I think. I can look up the details for you or they are found in help online somewhere.

9. I don't think that that is a problem

at least one affected by the Kindle. Besides, Kindle supports publishers which produce the books. We need more active readers, you see.
