3. Your LCD or plasma screen is very, very tough. Why, I bet it can withstand, easily, a wii controller
Go test this theory and report back. And take pictures.

6. Well, find a buddy who has both, then try the experiment.
By the way, chicken wire is only useful to keep patrons in a country bar from pelting the band with beer bottles.

9. Too late. I've already boxed my only LCD panel up. Sold it to my nephew.
He's heading out to college this fall. Hmmm. And he does have a wii. Hmmm.

This does not bode well.

11. Simple solution
They have a strap you put around your wrist while using the controller. Therefore even if you lose your grip it won't go flying..:)

you have to actually USE the strap.

19. Yes you could.
Or you could simply make sure to always wear the wrist straps.

This site catalogs the damage done by people who didn't utilize their wrist straps (or had catastrophic failure of the weak Gen 1 wrist straps):

  It's only funny 'cause it hasn't happened to us.

Seriously, when we got our Wii, I told our son that finding him playing the Wii without the wrist strap attached is automatically grounds for a one week suspension of Wii privileges. That did the trick!
