But I just can't accept a gift without giving one in return. I'll share my fever, goopy nose, and phlegmy cough. It won't be the same as your cold, but it'll make a nice complement. I've had the nose/cough thing for about two week, so it's another long-lasting illness--the gift that keeps on giving! :hi:

except for the cough. I'm going through tissues at a ridiculous pace. And I think I'm getting to the point where I can't take any more Advil so I'm drinking lots of hot liquids.
Next up is hitting the Scotch bottle. I'll share that too! :)

according to my doc, that's the flu! A mild case, perhaps, but a flu strain nonetheless. Ain't it fun? I was downing Motrin at a rapid pace too. I never thought about booze. Damn! x(

6. There was a truly evil cold....

going around SF before the holidays -- everyone I know came down with it. It was one of the worst colds I have ever had in my life. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING was stopping the drippy nose portion of it -- I was so pumped up on drugs I could barely function, yet my nose was still going. And it lingered like a MFer -- a cough and chest congestion that went on and on. The thng lasted 5 weeks, start to finish. :scared:

Sounds like it headed your way! :( Sorry to here about that -- all you can do it ride the thing out.

I'm glad I have the internet to keep me busy but I think I'll need to take a nap soon and see if I can get rid of this headache.
I was briefly feeling better yesterday and this feels like I've relapsed. Maybe I pushed myself too much.

Puffs Plus with Lotion, and lots of them -- the only tisseu that will get you through this without chapping your nose half to death.

11. Five weeks? Great.

I'm in Los Gatos and got it January 19th, to be exact (the day after my birthday - the gift that keeps on giving :eyes: ).

I came home sick from work today - it starts getting better then it roars back in like a tiger. If I could figure out a use for snot, I could corner the market and make a million. :(

After the first week, I though I had past the worst and felt a bit better, then it felt like I got the cold all over again! :(

There were two colds floating around here - the four day one, and the four week one.

I really haven't seen anything like this -- I mean everyone was coming down with it -- I work with 13 people (not in the same space, either) and all but three got sick.

And the snot -- good god, I went through an entire box of Puffs in one day! The dripping seems endless. :cry:

8. The key is keeping your nose/sinuses cleared.

Steam, decongestants, mentholated cough drops and rubs, fresh air, humidifiers, Mucinex, salt water rinses and hot food all help.
