2. Hells yeah.
It's everything I need in a small portable gadget. Phone, music, camera, internet, email, and I haven't even scratched the surface with the apps. I lurves my iPhone.

3. I recommend a Smartphone in general
I don't have an iPhone, I wanted the regular keyboard.

but once you have a smartphone, it would be hard to give up.

4. I've played around with an iPhone...
but I ended up getting the BlackBerry Storm instead. I didn't care for the iPhone, and what's worse is that it's only exclusive to AT&T.

6. You can jailbreak them pretty easily
In fact, most people I know who have iPhones use Verizon as their carrier.

17. That's not possible.
The iPhone is a GSM phone. Only AT&T and T-Mobile have GSM wireless networks in the US.

Also, jailbreaking allows the user to install unofficial software, but unlocking is a different process to allow phone to work on other GSM networks besides AT&T.

21. Jailbreaking/unlocking whatever the term is
All I know is that my coworker, who's been on Verizon for as long as I've known him, now has an iPhone and is using in on their network. Either way, you can use an iPhone on other networks than AT&T's.

7. Absolutely.
I switched over to AT&T after I gave a big "fuck you" to Verizon for selling me a piece of shit LG phone. I had it replaced at least six times for the same problem. And I begged with them to let me get a new one and they just flat-out would not.

But seriously, its the best phone I've ever owned. Love the apps, love the built-in iPod, love having full internet everywhere I go, love everything about it. Well worth the purchase if you ask me.

25. I don't remember the model off hand but it was a flip phone.
Thing never worked. It would drop calls left and right, wasn't compatible with my bluetooth system and so on. Piece of shit.

9. my husband loves his
the apps are a lot of fun and it's so wonderfully designed, like all Apple stuff is...

However, his was paid for by work, and it's a bit pricey if you are footing the bill yourself..

10. We love ours and wouldn't want to miss it anymore.
Beats every PDA, and you have all-in-one, so to speak. The original keyboard is easier to handle than on most cell phones - including the Blackberry - and there are free apps which make it bigger and more easy, and I haven't the smallest fingers.

Yes, I'd recommend it, even over a Blackberry, although they're pretty nice.

12. I have an iTouch, which is just an iPhone without the phone. I've gone into an app frenzy.
The other day, for $1.99, I got an app with the text of every major document in U.S. history. The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, every inaugural address (including President Obama's!) every State of the Union address, the Emancipation Proclamation, etc. The iTouch is going to be an invaluable tool when I get into clinical work.

15. I'm studying to be a Physician Assistant. The iTouch offers app for things like
converting Celsius to Fahrenheit and back (free), calculating Body Mass Index (free), a dictionary of medical terminology (it was about $2.99) and also a program for clinicians called ePocrates. This is a terrific reference tool for medical providers, although it's pricey; like $150 for a two-year subscription. (I got mine at a student discount of 50%.)

It means not having to consult fifty different manuals when providing clinical care. I love it...

18. I love mine.
It is nice having a phone with a great OS, which means it won't crap out every other month, forcing you to get a new one. Although, I do need to get mine replaced, as one of the speakers crapped out (thank God for AppleCare! I think I'll wait till about a month before it runs out.)

27. I love mine!
I've never used a Blackberry, though I know several people who seem happy with them. My iPhone is so much better than any cell phone I've ever owned; Blackberry would have to come up with one extremely kick-ass product to get me to switch. :hi:

28. A Good PDA phone is your friend... regardless of brand
If you are Windows at home, you might prefer a Samsung Smartphone... I love and abuse mine constantly.

i.e. Windows for Mobile is still the only version of Windows that WORKS!!!

29. I love mine.
At first, it took me awhile to get used to the typing, but I've gotten very quick.

I use the GPS/map and Safari all the time!

I pay a lot per month for unlimited text and internet, but what are you going to do?

Fortunately, I get a 19% AT&T corporate service discount through my company.

If you get one, make sure you get a hard case since AT&T doesn't offer insurance.
