Things to do while in Rhode Island.

I'm going home to RI next week. I need ideas of what to do to avoid spending time with my parents. There is only so much angst, guilt and putdowns I can handle. Del's won't be open. Besides, there is only so much frozen lemonade one can eat anyway. Too bad it isn't warmer, I could hang at the beach all day. *sigh* Maybe I can hide out at a girl friend's house.

I could make a BNL replicant to take my place to endure the coldness of my mother. I'll make it out of old pillows and a mannequin head. My mother asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I jokingly said "ignore it like I am. Ha Ha." (because I'm turning 40. She blandly said. "I can do that." Thanks Mom!

I still like going to the beach in the winter, and can PM ya a couple nice spots down by Misquamicut for sitting/walking...

Providence Zoo? Shops at Watch Hill? There's a spa that just opened near Westerly. Bra shopping at Zoe's downtown in Westerly?

2. Invite a bunch of people to party at mom's

play quarters and sing drinking songs until 4am!

that's pretty much all there is to do there, but avoid seeing any 80's hairbands on their comeback tour. Those things don't go well in Rhode Island.
