Friday the 13th horrifying visit to DMV turned out pleasant AND I got a good D/L picture
I moved so I needed a new license. It's been less than a year since the last renewal. The guy in that driver's license picture was a doughy old hippie. The guy in this driver's license has only one chin and looks ten or twenty years younger. Weird... I wonder how that happened?

Much to my amazement, SC's DMV has gotten their act together. They were quick, well-organized and unfailingly polite. It was a remarkably pleasant experience, especially in contrast to the chaos of the olden days. Hope other states' DMVs have done the same.

1. Yeah, I know, nobody cares. On the other hand, if I'm ever going to kick it,
it better be while it's still Friday the 13th, right?:)

2. The woman at the local DMV has bees in her mouth.
When she barks she shoots bees at me.

7. Certainly appropriate for Friday the 13th, though. Or maybe Hallowe'en.
Is the local DMV on Elm Street?

6. I thought it was the giving up of gluten that did it, but really it's more likely
that the concomitant inability of eating in restaurants that really made the difference. Particularly since most of those restaurants were all you can eat buffets.:)

Sorry DMV isn't working out there. Wow, worse than South Carolina; what a sorry condition to be in. Maybe they'll move to online services and you can bypass the local office.

:hugs: back.

4. In Texas, we can renew our licenses online.
One of the only things the state government has gotten right.

It would be nice if all the states would offer that option.

Congrats on the handsome new pic!

5. I think we can, too, but it's just a couple of miles up the road
and it was simpler just to go than to figure out how to do the picture online.

Thanks for congrats. What's puzzling is that I lost all the weight I've lost before the picture from a year ago. Since then, the weight has held steady but the chins and the waistline have continued to evaporate. Could I be growing muscle? What a concept at this advanced age!
