A memory for V.D. I had a lovely encounter . . .

. . . many years ago that I can't get out of my mind today.

I had a crush on Andrea, another alto in the community chorus (GLBT/Friendly). We were friendly and had sat and talked a lot during breaks in rehearsal and at a couple of chorus parties.

One day she came by my house -- I don't remember why, really -- on her way to Vegas. She had her kids with her. They were cute.

It was a very brief visit. All I remember is talking a little (about what?), and standing closer, and closer . . . and she kissed me. Oh, sweet jesus . . . . It was very . . . very . . . nice.

Then she left for Vegas.

Nothing ever came of it. It intensified my crush, and I had hope for a couple of weeks that we might get closer, but I kinda knew it wasn't happening.

I've never figured out why she kissed me, but the memory is wonderful.

I wish I remembered Andrea's last name. I'm pretty sure she'd be on FB.

Sigh.
