Or a girlfriend either, I'm not picky. Well, I am picky. That's one of the reasons why I'm still single. :P I'm just not picky about that.

Bad enough Edda's now getting more than I do and I really expected Amos would finally propose today, but am a little relieved they opted to prolong the foreplay.

19. I'd sell my soul in a heartbeat for a kickass woman to show up and
give me the fling of my life. I could do with a nice long year of absolutely wonderful, wild craziness and tons of wet, sweaty, heaving breathing...and good sex. :P

All I'd want is for her to be sexy and beautiful to me, not so much to anyone else. Hell, in high school I was once crazy about a crazy eyed girl everyone else called, "Tree" and barked at. I thought she was the fucking best thing since sliced bread. Yowza! I met her on the school bus. It was in 11th grade. My aunt couldn't get me to school any other way when her car broke down. So, I needed to ride the bus for a week or two. Later, I even asked my aunt to let me start riding the bus all the time after meeting that girl so I could see what color her hair would be each day and what designs she put on her fingernails.

I was hopeless over her. All these years later, I'm still hopeless. Now, it's even worse because it's more of a general hopelessness. :(

21. Ah, yes. The one that got away.
We all have at lesat one of those. I can think of at least three offhand. One from before I admitted to myself that I liked boys. The other two were just ships passing in the night. (or in one case, cars. Cross-country trip... met someone at 2 in the morning at Denny's. Go fig. :P)

33. Here, have some Tom Waits to make you feel better...
The One That Got Away

Well the gigolo's jumping salty, ain't no trade out on the streets,
Half past the unlucky, and the hawk's a front-row seat
Dressed in full orchestration, stage-door Johnny's got to pay,
And sent him home talking about the one that got away

Could have been on Easy Street, could have been a wheel,
With irons in the fire and all them business deals
But the last of the big-time losers shouted before he drove away,
"I'll be right back, as soon as I crack the one that got away!"

Well, the ambulance drivers, they don't give a shit,
They just want to get off work,
The short stop and the victim already gone berserk
And the shroud-tailor measures him for a deep-six holiday,
The stiff is froze, the case is closed on the one that got away

Now Jim Crow's directing traffic with them cemetery blues,
With them peculiar-looking trousers, them old Italian shoes
And a wooden kimono that was all ready to drop in San Francisco Bay
But he's mumbling something all about the one that got away

And Costello was the champion at the St. Moritz Hotel,
And the best this side of Fairfax, reliable sources tell
But his reputation is at large, and he's at Ben Frank's every day,
Waiting for the one that got away

He's got a snakeskin sportshirt, and he looks like Vincent Price,
With a little piece of chicken, and he's carving off a slice
Someone tipped her off, and she'll be doing a Houdini now any day
She shook his hustle, and a Greyhound bus'll take the one that got away

Well, Andre's at the piano behind the Ivar in the sewers,
With a buck a shot for pop tunes, and a fin for guided tours
He coulda been in "Casablanca", he stood in line out there all day
Now he's spilling whiskey and learning songs about the one that got away

Well I've lost my equilibrium and my car keys and my pride,
The tattoo parlor's warm, and so I hustle there inside
And the grinding off the buzz-saw, "What you want that thing to say?"
I says, "Just don't misspell her name, buddy, she's the one that got away"

27. 's Apollo and Midnighter from the Wildstorm comic universe.
While owned by DC, it's not part of the main Batman/Superman/Justice League/ect. DC universe. They did leave it open for crossovers because DC has this whole 'multiple universes' thing goin' on though. :)
