The furnace will not be fixed today. Maybe Monday. The motor was ruined when a piece on the squirrel cage broke. The repair guy bought a new motor but didn't get a squirrel cage (didn't know that was broken) and all the parts shops are closed.

The landlord is going to try to find an HVAC company that has a squirrel cage on the truck and there's a chance, albeit small, that the heat will be fixed before Monday night.

Bleh.

25. you TOO! Actually mine was Friday and it was a bonafide gas leak. Gas co

was on the spot to check it out, I smelled gas the minute I walked in the house, so once I checked out the cats (all OK) and opened the back door, I called the emerg line and their tech located the leak and also told me I had an issue with venting on my water heater.

the repair guy is here now, working on it so we have heat again. At least is isn't a 20 degree night like it was the last time, when it was the gas company's fault.

so my cats got a treat: an afternoon in the back yard. One of them of course did not come in when the other two did and he was right out there on the front porch this morning, yelling at ME because HE didn't come when I called him last night.

He has slept all day.
