My new, more practical ride...:(
In December, my Beloved M3 was hit by a red light runner, and although it was fixed, it just wasnt the same.

SO here is my new, more practical ride that can tow my small (tiny) sailboat...

Audi A3 2.0t

now begins the search for an appropriate dedicated sports car...

1. Pimp it. Two cans of bright-colored spraypaint, some Gorilla Glue, and hit the gutter department

2. I like that.
I thought about getting a new Audi, but I can't really see myself spending that kind of money now. I like how that one has some utility, even though I'm generally a sedan person.

If I get a new, small commuter-type car soon, I would like to get an old Subaru SVX for sportiness and AWD.

4. this one was used
used ones are a great deal right now, but this is also front wheel drive because Audi, in all their wisdom, decided NOT to allow the manual transmission with the Quattro all wheel drive...

6. I thought about used, but the new stimulus package has a deduction for sales tax on new cars.
I *have* to consider that, and whether that makes the new car more practical at this particular point in time.

What the hell was Audi thinking? No manual Quattros? That seems idiotic.

7. I know

it was almost a deal breaker for me...

 what can you do though...

Also, the used ones are seriously cheap, much more than you will save on a tax deduction, trust me.

8. If I make this decision today (or relatively soon), I think I will end up going Subaru.
You can get an Impreza with manual and AWD. More affordable right now, too. (Since I'm not getting a WRX.)

But I'll stick with my cute little Celica thank you...:)

I'm assuming its 4 wheel drive to deal with all the snow?

16. I like it.
I looked at those too, but the new ones were out of my price range, and I couldn't find a used one anywhere.

Good choice. Sorry about your Bimmer.

17. I like it a lot
although it does not have a lot of the features that made the M3 such a nice place to be, nor the awesome 4.0 litre 415hp V8... it CAN tow my tiny laser sailboat to the lake, and it is much more practical, plus it means I can now own a dedicated sports car.

:P
