Check into your hotel, then leave at once and go somewhere and see something, do something, experience something. I'm just sayin...

The weather is surprisingly nice so we're going to the zoo across the street.

Business has me nearby, not likely to go downtown until this evening, maybe.

Might try to find a great restaurant here in the Sunset District.

2. Another suggestion...

Leave your hotel and go to Vesuvio in North Beach. The auras of all the Beat poets still inhabit the place. Just watch out for Ferlinghetti. He likes to goose people just to see their startled reactions. Have a glass of wine at one of the two tables near the window and watch the parade. From there, something else will suggest itself. I could spend two weeks in North Beach and never leave that neighborhood. Seriously.
