I hate shopping. I shop for the month, smokes and everything. My mother does not drive so I take her for her errands too. Grocery shopping is especially cruel and heinous, since she must read every fucking thing in every isle. Ugh!

Too many to count. His, hers, theirs, mine, and ours. Makes for interesting holidays.

I used to spend a lot of time with special needs children and activities. After my son died under their care I was no longer welcome in that circle.

I like the Political Videos and the Lounge. I get my news elsewhere. I do venture into the GD's on occasion. And of course the Top 10.

Just once in a while, and only temporarily. Like when someone goes on big snit and posts a bunch of stupid shit 100 times in one day. Clears up a half or whole page to sort through.

It's a tossup between Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddow.

I'm a homebody. I go to the ladies bar maybe twice a month.

Yes, currently. Really nice gal, but I'm not interested "that way". I also have an interest that I went out with a couple times, then her whole life turned to shit. Murder in the family, and another tragic death. Obviously the timing stinks. We meet once in a while, but the timing just sucks for her.

Not very long. I'd die!

I despise shopping unless it's for books or shoes. Oh, and I like thrift stores. But my husband does all the grocery shopping - I work in a grocery store and the last thing I want to do is shop in one!

I have one half sister (though I never think of her that way) and several step-siblings. My dad has been married five times :eyes: so I have no idea how many there are.

I used to bring my dog Dixie to the local nursing homes back in Vermont. The residents LOVED her and she loved them. I would love to do something like that again.

I browse around a lot but the Lounge is my favorite place.

10. #8 Oh boy, there is one gal (pain in the ass) that adopts me every time I run into her.

She's a total spook, but I think she's relatively harmless. She's like that with others as well. Some are getting rude with her, and I don't like that either. I don't want to hurt her feelings. But gawd.

She just "came out", and does the dumbest shit. We discussed it one night, and it was very interesting to say the least. Her experimentation was TMI!!!! I do kinda feel sorry for her. I never needed instructions!

No. I grocery shop because I have to eat. My husband buys me clothes.

Yes, I volunteer at an animal shelter and donate to HSUS, ASPCA and Save-a-Sato regularly. I also walk for the Heart Association and donate ad hoc (as requested) to the MS Society, Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen (sp?) Fund. I also do neighborhood letter campaigns for the Leukemia Society (in honor of DUer Alarcojon). This year part of my garden harvest will be going to the local food bank at the Methodist Church in town.

Pets is primary. Lurk a lot in Cooking and Baking and Gardening. Recently been viewing the Photography forum.

Wow. I haven't thought about them in years. There were 6 of 'em. My mom married her second husband when I was about 13. He had 3 adults and 3 teenagers at the time. The minors lived with their mom, but they came over often, as did 2 of the 3 adults. It was weird. One year, four of us went to the same high school. I wonder how they're doing?

Nope. I used to blindly give to big charities (United Way, Salvation Army, etc.) but no mas.

I'm a loner. I go out a lot, but stick to myself. Believe me, that's a LOT better than the way it used to be.

One is a angry DLCer who takes any suggestion for any moderate social position, attack on conservative morals or opposition to Friedmanism to be an attempt to destroy everything that she thinks makes The Democratic Party great. She does nothing but post hate-filled screeds and has shown herself to be a bigot, homophobe and sexist. If I had my druthers, I'd not only ban her from DU...I'd throw her out of the Democratic Party...nobody else alive elicits that much political rage in me. The other one is just an quaint (I love the adjective quaint for another person...it's so dismissive) misandrist I got tired of listening to tell me about how my race, gender, religious-upbringing and birth-location (all things I didn't choose BTW) make me an oppressing f*ck.

I don't watch a single one. I really hate them and news-programs so much that I'm using my V-Chip to block CNN, FNC, Meet the Press, Face The Nation, etc.

1. I shop just about every day. I never know what I'm going to feel like having and am always running low on staples like bread and milk. I don't mind going to the store frequently.

2. I have no step or half siblings. My two brothers and I share the same set of parents.

3. My primary "volunteer" activity is tutoring my daughter who is a 10th grader. I find that every subject is taught at a much more advanced level than when I attended high school forty years ago, and I give her as much help as I can.

4. I like GD and the lounge. Lately I'm more of a lurker than a poster due to time constraints.

5. I've only put a few people on ignore, and they've all been deserving. I have no patience with people who resort to name calling and personal attacks.

6. I like Keith, though his program seems to have an abundance of commercials.

7. I would socialize more if I could. I'm on my daughter's school schedule. Weeknights mean homework.

8. I don't remember how I did it, but I did shake loose a couple of boyfriends years ago that I had lost interest in.
