Just got back from taking both dogs to the vet...

So far I've always taken them separately, but I decided it would be easier to get it all over with... but it sure wasn't easier on my credit card!!! :scared:

Physicals, heartworm tests, shots, flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventative, ear cleaner... when are you boys going to start earning your keep???

Just kidding, they are more than worth it. :loveya:

We went to the p.a.r.k. afterwards and now they are passed out on the floor. :D

10. Simon is having an allergic reaction to the shots!

It is making me so upset to watch him... he is SO itchy, he's just running around rubbing his face on the couch, floor, etc. :(

I called the vet and he told me to give him Benadryl, so we did that about 10 mins ago but the poor baby still seems miserable.

Anyone else ever have this happen??

11. Not those symptoms, but Cindy went lame in her hindquarters
for about 10 days and also had a huge hematoma on her knuckle where blood was drawn for the heartworm test. That lasted for weeks! I only get their vaccinations every three years. This reminds me why I started doing it that way.

Your pups sure are cute. I hope Simon's reaction goes away quickly.

12. Oh, that's awful!

I'm glad her issues were temporary, but that must have been so upsetting...

We've now given Simon 1.5 Benadryls -- he seems a lot better, and EXHAUSTED. I wish the itching would let up enough for him to go to sleep. :(
