7. Considering that I own a business, it's vital. NOBODY gets to talk to me unless they
identify themselves via Caller ID; "Out of Area" is always a sign that it's some schmuck trying to sell me something.

And if I don't answer the phone, and they don't leave a message, screw 'em; they're not someone I want to talk to.

8. My office doesn't come up on caller ID, which sucks.
It comes up as 'Incoming Call' along with every telemarketer on the planet.

11. Aha. Maybe you should talk to your IT people; there have been several times when
I've told my vendors that their Caller IDs come up as "Name not found" or "out of area" and that makes it harder for them to get me on the phone, and they've been able to get it changed.

13. Only if I know it's someone I don't want to talk to.
I'll answer if it's a number I don't recognize. Connecting with new people is a good thing.

I've seen people get frustrated wondering who called when someone didn't leave a message. If they wanted to know who called so badly then maybe they should have answered the phone. duh

We cut ALL unnecessary expenses.

I have an awesome yelling machine. It yells out the incoming number so I don't even have to get up to check the caller ID. I rarely answer the phone. :-)

29. Caller ID comes up on our TV now.
That might make us the most decadent household ever - but it's kinda nice to have hit a new level of slackerhood where I don't even have to get off my ass to decide someone isn't worth my time.

30. If it is a number that i do not
recognize, it goes to the machine. 9 times out of 10 it is a wrong number or a telemarketer from a credit card company.

computer on all the time. I get a lot of complaints from friends about that, but it keeps out all those pesky telemarketers.

38. Have you ever noticed...
that the line "leave a message and I'll call you back" kind of sounds like "an evil mass of jelly calling you back"? :P

And, I agree. Old No Doubt>Solo Gwen Stefani.
