Just got off the phone with my mom.

My aunt J, who had a mastectomy a while back, just had a check up - it has spread into her bones.

My first cousin once removed A, who has had seizures for years, started having seizures one right after the other. They did two brain surgeries - one to map her brain, and one to remove a tumor (malignant of course).

My mother died of it, at the age of 53. My aunt died of it, at the age of 47.

All of my mother's generation of cousins died of it, from female cancer.

My mother's mother died when my mother was four. I don't know what kind of cancer she had, but it was cancer.
