Elder and Younger GreenKids have been watching "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern" today. They
are enjoying it quite a bite more than I thought they would at their ages.

I haven't watched it since college. I'd forgotten how much fun it was! :D

1. Ah, "Guildenstern and Rosencrantz".
With the ever popular Gary Oldman, too. :sigh: :)

Not that I dwell on that or anything. ;)

12. Yeah, it's interesting
I've only watched it once, but I'll tune in again.

It's about looking at people's really small facial tics, the expression before the expression they want you to see, so to speak.

If I wasn't self-conscious before, watching it certainly made me more so!

:silly:

He's a House-type character, except about psychology.

I fell asleep watching it many, many years ago, but I had a blast at a recent stage production, so I think the film deserves another look. Times being what they are.

He's talking to himself again!

4. Yes, it is a rather quiet movie. Nothing being blown up, no machine guns. Hence my
amazement that the boys were riveted to it. (Well, until they needed to take a video gaming break halfway through. :P)

I saw it for the first time in my senior English class. My friends and I used to spend hours amusing ourselves playing games of "Questions" at the lunch table after we watched it.

One of the best ever made IMHO. Certainly on my top ten. Brilliant good time.

36. Have they also watched Hamlet? I love Kenneth Brannaugh's version.
There are some truly amazing shots in that one - amazing for both camera work AND the acting; some long scenes shot in one take, and so forth.

Edited on Sun Feb-22-09 05:14 PM by Rabrrrrrr
My first experience with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern was seeing it live at Stratford (in Canada) many years ago, the day after seeing Hamlet there - and they used the same cast in both plays, which was great.
