I accidentally got on an AFA mailing list.
While attempting to screw up one of their "polls".

It definitely makes me laugh when they send alerts about teh homoseckshul agenda to "Heywood Jablome".

2. WHen I worked at a church last year, we'd get them every day.
The minister and the church were quite liberal; I guess the AFA must put every church on its mailing list. Some days we'd get 3 or 4 "action alerts" from them. The minister would delete them but I would make sure to read them first so I would know what ridiculous thing they were up to. You can get a good laugh out of them.

3. If you want a good laugh, check out their "one-hour special" at this link
http://www.silencingchristians.com/ The best part is at the very end, when they talk about how horrible it is that Barack Obama got elected and all of the awful things he is doing! (Yes, I watched the whole thing. I find the religious right very entertaining sometimes!)

My favorites were the big Xmas hoopla/begging shows from TBN. Which even some Xian websites call "The Blasphemy Network."

First, the festive Xmas musical tribute with a VERY strange pianist. He had diamond rings on every finger and looked like the offspring of a one-night stand between Liberace and Keith Richards. As he fondly gazed...and gazed...and gazed over the children's choir accompanying him, you could just see an Amber Alert in the making...

Then Paul and Jan Crouch took us on an on-camera tour thru their huge store full of Jesus-Junk, offering gift suggestions. Jan always looked heavily medicated. Paul would disgorge some chirpy Jebus-marketing chatter and Jan would either ignore him, or respond in a slurred voice speaking...very...slowly.

Paul got so annoyed I thought he was going to whack her over the head with the life-size Baby Jesus ($99.95 plus shipping, all major credit cards accepted).

Then I could go over to the Catholic network and watch some 200-year-old nun hawking the Papist version of TBN's merchandise.

I sorta miss that nonsense, since I've lived in Egypt for the past 3.5 years. Over here they have Koranic ranters and "Ask The Imam" TV shows, but I don't know enough Arabic to make fun of them.
