Publicists for octuplets' mother quit over death threats

Two Brentwood publicists said they dropped octuplets mom Nadya Suleman as a client Saturday because they have received a slew of death threats.

Suleman, a 33-year-old Whittier resident, was unmarried, unemployed and already had six children using a sperm donor when she gave birth to eight children from the same donor Jan. 26 at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Bellflower.

Joann Killeen, president of Killeen Furtney Group, said she and husband Mike Furtney decided to drop Suleman early Saturday. Soon after the births, the couple began representing Suleman for free, and almost immediately started receiving threatening e-mails and phone calls from people enraged over the octuplets saga, she said.

"They hope I die, they hope my business goes under, they want to rip her uterus out," Killeen said. "They say I should be anesthetized and put down like a dog."

Killeen said she and Suleman felt so threatened that last week they stayed at an undisclosed "secure location" for a few days before returning home. The babies are still being treated at the hospital, Killeen said.

After creating a website for Suleman on Tuesday, Killeen said, she received 55,000 e-mails, most of them negative, and she has stacks of angry mail.

Personally I think they probably quit because they realized they weren't getting any money out of this idiot. The Octomom is a parasite who thinks the world owes her something. Even when she is given money, like the Workmans Comp she received, instead of taking care of the children she has she uses it to pay for expensive plastic surgury and bringing in more kids she can't care for.

Those sound like pretty horrible things to say to someone, and while I don't like what this woman has done, the viciousness of the attacks upon her frighten and disturb the hell out of me.

This is a woman on the verge of losing her home, with 14 kids to support, and she's out buying some of the most expensive makeup on the market.

Those horders think they are doing something heroic by keeping 20+ cats and/or dogs in their house when all they are doing is creating a disgusting nightmare that is not feasible for any animal or human to live in.

They have shown pictures of the house before without the 8 kids, where do you suspect 8 more children will in a very overcrowded 3 bedroom house. She hords kids the way a crazy cat lady hords cats. And the biggest problem with the hording is that the animals never get the proper car they need for a healthy life. The animals never get fixed so they keep breeding and of course the costs for a vet is too much so the animals live in their own feces and are infected with god knows what.

And if this woman was out buying MAC makup - well a typical powder compact from MAC runs about $30 - which could buy diapers to last these octuplets for a few hours.

She has a mental illness.
