Why the fuck would FedEx give my package to the USPS?
"Tendered to USPS for delivery"

:wtf:

I'm so mad I could spit right now. It was shipped a week ago, via FedEx ground, and now apparently the USPS has it. Fucking hell. Just give me my fucking yarn!

:banghead:

2. Correction: "cheap knitting needles that hadn't been used in years"
I'm not wasting my precious Addis on his ass.

I could strangle him with acrylic yarn too. Got tons of that that I'll never use. :D

8. I just called the post office
Apparently this is common now. It's called "the last mile", and USPS and FedEx drop the packages at the PO. I live 2 fucking blocks from the post office. And no, I can't just come down and pick it up, I have to wait for them to deliver the package in person tomorrow.

I'm not pleased.

I'll ask our FedEx National Account Rep 'bout this shit. :grr:

17. bb: Apparently FedEx considers Boston 'extremely rural'

Andrew – not related to <company> business, but are there instances where FedEx will hand off a shipment to the USPS for residential delivery?

Only in extreme rural areas would we ever give pacakges to the USPS. These could include rural areas only serviced by PO boxes. Although we should not accept those in the first place.

I hope that helps.

Andrew

18. I'm not in Boston proper, but I live in a city of
nearly 100,000 people. That is fucking ridiculous. I live next to the g-damn subway station! Rural, my ass. x(

14. i totally agree with that, their rates are high and then for them to hand it off to another
shipper and it still requires you the paying customer to have to go and pick it up, no way.

16. Toys R Us did the same thing to us
It started out with UPS and this was transfered to USPS. A game for my son took 8 days to get here and they charged me $5 to ship it! Heck, if they had just shipped it priority mail with the post office, it would have been here in 2-3 days and cost half as much!

21. I can't believe you didn't update this thread
Bi-Baby left a rather large note on the mailbox asking the mailman to please ring the buzzer. She even wrote, "thank you."

The mailman just put a slip in our box telling her the package was too big to fit in the box and to pick it up on 2/20 or later at the area post office.

This is not the first time and she's going to complain. I think she should go right to the top and contact the Post Master General.

23. Fed-Ex calls it Smartpost
I've bought stuff from Woot in the past and they've sent some smaller items to me that way. I really like some Woot items but having to wait so long to get it has deterred me from buying from them.
