How can Jon Voight make a movie like "Midnight Cowboy"...
And end up a Right Wing Fool/Tool???

I just don't get it

I mean you expect that kind of behavior from Tony Danza or Tom Selleck

But his role in that movie - so nuanced - I know people say Dustin Hoffman stole that show, but Voight's role had a certain complexity that doesn't come from a script.

6. He won an Oscar opposite Jane Fonda in "Coming Home" -as a disabled
Vietnam Vet. To her credit, Jane commissioned the screenplay (IIRC) specifically to highlight the difficulties faced by Vets from that war. What Jon Voight learned from his performance in that film...is anyone's guess.

7. Danza's right-wing? Say it ain't so...
Danza's right-wing? Say it ain't so! He's the perfect actor-- depth, breadth, drama, comedy, the perfect intersection of... oh God, I can't do this anymore. He sucks. He sucks eggs. He sucks boiled eggs.

Now Selleck on the other hand-- that was some Shakespearean quality drama we saw in Magnum-- deep characters, rich plots, unexpected and dramatic twists, and.... crap-- still can't do it.
