Having very special guests this weekend!
Will and Cailen are coming up and bringing her Mom and her Aunt. Since the kids are getting married up here, Mom needs to get a look around. I'm planning a big feast tomorrow night and have invited some of my friends to join us. The 5 year old daughter of one of my friends will be the flower girl in the wedding but she calls herself the "flower boss". Too cute! Beef stew, salad, gread bread and a 3 berry pie and a blueberry pie made with Maine blueberries. Lots of appetizers and maybe some Irish Coffee with desert. Saturday we're going to a bridal shop...I am really looking forward to that since I don't have a daughter. I'm a little nervous...wish me luck!

That's a MAJOR announcement.

4. I thought he told folks here...Cailen is a wonderful woman. They are
"two peas in a pod". She is his perfect mate...I have never seen him happier.

Congratulations to all!

2. I hope Cailen has more restraint than I have-
after that delicious food I would have to try on only empire waist gowns so my stomach would fit in!
Have fun with the girly stuff!
(LOL-I was my cousin's "flower boss" 52 years ago when I was 5. I started dropping the rose petals just as slowly on the way out of the church until the wedding guests swirled around me and pushed me forward faster :o)

5. I am really looking forward to the bridal appointment. I have a plan
to knit a lace shawl for her because she wants a gown with no sleeves and they are getting married in early October. I am teaching myself lace knitting and hope there is enought time to get it right.

15. That will be a wonderful keepsake for her.
That's a lovely thing for you to do, Raven.

16. Thanks Lefty. This all assumes that the shawl doesn't look like
something the dog ate!

7. I can imagine. I believe you will be a most gorgeous mother of the groom.
As well as a spectacular mother in law.

I'm so very happy for everyone concerned. This is truly wonderful.

8. I don't know about gorgeous but I'll have to wear makeup and a bra
for the first time since I evacuated Boston. Yikes!

10. Make up AND a bra?
Maybe you could go with either one or the other.
I'd pick the make up.

13. Oh no you don't. A deal's a deal.
And thank you.
That makes you my only not-so-secret admirer.
Seriously...I'm very happy for you and Will and Cailen.
We gained a son, truly, but I think gaining a daughter will be even more fun for you.

And next...
GRANDKIDS?
They're the most fun.

All the best to all of you.
:-)

14. Cailen has MS. I am not talking out of school because Will has posted this before.

I have watched these two go through this from the diagnosis to treatment. She had one attack and is on medicine which seems to keep things at bay. I would love grandchildren but we will have to wait and see. Stem cell research is now personal to me. Cailen is a very strong woman and a very loving one. Things will work out. I have faith that they will.

17. My dear Raven!
I am so very happy for you! And of course for Will and Cailen...

I'm hoping someone will take and post a lot of wedding pictures!

I'm sure your nervousness will vanish the moment they walk in the door!

Congrats to all of you...
