58. Wheat beer, UnFiltered Offering from Harpoon Brewery, Boston.
Wheat beer is a beer that is brewed with a significant proportion of wheat. Wheat beers often also contain a significant proportion of malted barley. Wheat beers are usually top-fermented (in Germany they have to be by law).

German wheat beers are called Weizen ("wheat") in the western (Baden-Württemberg) and northern regions, and Weißbier or Weiße ("white beer" or "white") in Bavaria. Hefeweizen ("hefe" is German for yeast) is the name for unfiltered wheat beers, while Kristallweizen ("kristall" is German for crystal) is the same beer filtered.

68. That gets technical
Edited on Fri Feb-20-09 10:43 PM by Xipe Totec
If it says "beer" on the label, the maximum alcohol content is limited by US law.

If you want higher proofs, avoid anything that says beer on the label.

Look for Ale, Stout, Porter, Bitter...

Hence, the splash of vodka. (Europe has no such laws).

If you want high octane, high quality brews, I recommend Ommegang in New York. (google it, it's not hard to find).

They have a superb Stout called Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence.

83. It was part of the drink
They rimmed the inside of the glass with chocolate, added Grand Marnier and vodka, and stuck a bite of grilled steak on a skewer in the middle of it. The steak was good; it tasted like it had been marinated in teryiaki sauce but the drink wasn't very good; that combo was too thin and too strong to go with the chocolate. It needed some Baileys or something to make it smoother.

The Laffy Taffy one was very good and so was the lemonade-y one that was rimmed with Pop Rocks and had a skewer of bite sized jello shots across it.

102. Some
I have an appointment with the endodontist on Tuesday afternoon for a root canal. That tooth has been really flaring up this evening, even with three Aleve pills in me. So, I went ahead and took the Vicodin.

I don't like to use it because my body metabolizes drugs like this slowly. So, that "every six hours" may pass for the pain-deadening portion, but the "sleep-inducing" portion lasts and lasts.

I'm on an Emergency Broadcast Network kick this evening to try and counter the sleep-inducement for a while ;)

I'll be fine (on antibiotics, too :D) but thanks for noticing :)

101. Isn't it usually better to start off light, and then go heavy?
Or is it the other way around?

Anyways, either way, it's all good. :)

103. I think it's usually best to go heavy and wind up light, but I've never
had a problem with the way I approach it, so I'll continue with my solution. I use it to go to sleep.

104. I don't normally buy Tequila
but that sounds like it might be a good combination :)

Do you use Dublin Dr Pepper? And what quality of Tequila do you use?
