1. My dear KansDem!
Uh...NO! Did someone give you some?

It's not a bad gift, but not for a wedding anniversary!

Good grief.

:wtf:

3. No... I just thought they'd be really unusual in this day and age...
Maybe if they were diamond-tipped? Or gold plated?

4. Who wouldn't want curb feelers?
I kinda miss them - I guess it's due to the decline of parallel parking skills in our devil-may-care, hopped-up-on-goofballs, space-age world. :(

5. That's what I thought!
I really enjoyed those days when I parallel parked and anxiously awaited the scraping sound that indicated I had done it right!

It's a sound you never forget...

7. I always thought the curb feelers were counterpoints to the fins.
I miss them both.

6. Curb feelers, mud flaps, and a suicide knob!
Perfect triple bagger for a special occasion!

8. Damn! I forgot about the suicide knob!

And you're right: package all three together for the ultimate gift!

Thanks for the suggestions! :hi:

An afterthought: How about adding one of those canvas water bags to hang on the bumper for traveling through the southwest? A bit too much?

edited for spelling...

10. Absolutely NOT! Also, the window-mounted torpedo-tube "air conditioner"
(Can you tell I grew up in the desert in the 60s?)

11. I remember those, too!!!
Didn't you fill them with ice? I used to see them traveling Route 66 from southern California to Kansas (1960s as well).

13. Don't forget the bag of nuts/balls to hang off the back of the car or truck.
That's always a real indication of ....

nevermind

12. Anniversary gift? How many years?
and how many more do you want?

Maybe, if your mate has a '48 Packard Clipper...

14. I told my wife of 20 years that I thought they'd be a really smart gift to give her...
And she told me if I did, I'd be "feeling" them even though I'm not a curb, whatever that means...
