Speaking of the Potomac, why do people say "Potomac River"? Potomac means river.

of Potomac Maryland, I think...

Although I suppose its ironic that one of the main roads that runs through Potomac, Maryland is River Road..:)

Lacs in French means lake. It's like calling it Mille Lake Lake.
