Gordon Lightfoot - Sundown
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnlgkS3YYVs
I can see her lyin' back in her satin dress
In a room where ya do what ya don't confess
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you bin creepin' 'round my back stairs
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you bin creepin' 'round my back stairs

She's bin lookin' like a queen in a sailor's dream
And she don't always say what she really means
Sometimes I think it's a shame
When I get feelin' better when I'm feelin' no pain
Sometimes I think it's a shame
When I get feelin' better when I'm feelin' no pain

I can picture every move that a man could make
Getting lost in her lovin' is your first mistake
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you bin creepin' 'round my back stairs
Sometimes I think it's a sin
When I feel like I'm winnin' when I'm losin again

I can see her lookin' fast in her faded jeans
She's a hard lovin' woman, got me feelin' mean
Sometimes I think it's a shame
When I get feelin' better when I'm feelin' no pain
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you bin creepin' 'round my back stairs
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you bin creepin' 'round my back stairs
Sometimes I think it's a sin
When I feel like I'm winnin' when I'm losin' again

5. He has always been one of my favorites.
His best tune is "If You Could Read My Mind." Brings back a lot of memories for me.

10. Gordon is awesomeness
Maybe I'm just getting older, but when I get tired of hard rock I play some Gordon Lightfoot for a change of pace. So much goodness to choose from: Softly, Canadian Railroad Trilogy, Circle of Steel, Beautiful...gotta be in a mellow mood but the saying is true, Gord's Gold.

11. Very popular hit for Lightfoot, but solid as it is, I think he
outdoes himself on other, less-famous compositions.

I love "Song for a Winter's Night," "Too Late For Prayin'," "That Same Old Obsession," and "Bitter Green."

And oh, I don't know, 2 or 3 hundred other must-hear tunes he's written.

One more absolutely terrific example of how rich Canada is in musicians.
