We did a Brownie field trip to the Police Station today.
I really had to contain my snark there.

If I appear extra snarky for the next few days, you all know why.

8.  Those kinds of field trips are always surreal.
A whole bunch of cops on their best behavior pretending that they give a damn and work to protect us. Trying hard not to let it show that half of them are worse than the criminals, and in some cases ARE the criminals. x(

I have serious problems with rewarding people who are arrogant and have bad attitudes and anger issues with a badge and a gun.

ETA: I am not implying that all people in law enforcement have bad attitudes and control issues, but I have seen some that do in action (used to work in misdemeanor probation office) and it is not pretty.
