Anyone watched CSI earlier?
Most of the time we could not hear what they were saying, though we could the noise and music in the background. At first, we thought it was some kind of way to present things, but then the voices came but were gone at the end. We wonder whether it was stereo sound and somehow one part was not being transmitted.

1. That has been happening to a lot of shows lately.
The music is so in your face that the dialogue is hard to hear. I haven't watched tonight's show yet, but if it's like that again, I will switch my TV to mono. It makes the dialogue easier to hear. Geez, I love music in surround sound stereo as much as the next person, but I want to hear what the characters are saying too.

2. First time that we noticed it
(perhaps we watch the "wrong" programs.) And it was not a matter of volume. We could see their lips moving but nothing came out.

Switching to Mono may be a good idea..

3. Rest assured that the commercials will still come through loud and clear
As a matter of fact, I noticed that same dialogue problem when I watched Battlestar Galactica recently. Considering the time, I couldn't turn it up and risk waking my kids, so I switched on the closed captioning.

4. Should have thought about that!
Thanks.
