5. OLD Fleetwood Mac Song is "Oh, Well", from the vinyl album
"Then Play On", with Peter Green before Buckingham and Nix:

Don't ask me bout the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin.
Don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to...

61. Love that one, as well as "Green Manalishi" and
"Rattlesnake Shake," "Albatross." I loved the band when it was Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac playing a lot of blues. From a later period, also loved "Hypnotized," "Future Games," "Bare Trees," "Sentimental Lady."

My boyfriend and I listened to lots of old Mac in college and we got really excited when they came to town. Boy, were we disappointed to not hear any of our old favorites. What we saw was the band with its new members, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, a version we had not heard yet. They were the opening band for Jefferson Starship. I did end up liking songs from this version of the band, but the older versions are still my favorites.

Once I saw FM when there were NO ORIGINAL MEMEBRS in the band. At Winterland round 75. Seems the manager owned the name and the band was in dissaray, so they sent a totally bogus band to tour. Nobody noticed for the whole tour until they got to Winterland. We knew them. never finished theri third song.

A couple of years before that they played a concert in Stockton (Billy Herbert Field) and the cops pulled the plug on the band and tear gassesd everyone.
I really wihs Christine was in this incarnation of the band, i like her songs way more than Stevies.

13. Rhiannon
because a sleek little gray tabby I knew in New Orleans bore the name.

How we met: I met her human at a pro-choice rally and learned we were neighbors. Down the street I went:

KA: (seeing Rhiannon) "Oh, look!"

someone else: "Oh, she doesn't like people."

Two minutes later:

Rhiannon (sitting in KA's lap): "Purrrrrrrrrrrr...." :loveya:

Okay, I'm dating myself, I first got turned on to their sound with a buckingham/nicks album bought in 1976 or 1977. I just love the diversity of their songs. I love Silver Springs, Tusk and the Chain. All equally at No. 1. IMHO their lyrics are the best in the business!

29. Tie: Landslide (the original album cut) and Hypnotized (Bob Welch on vocals)
"Little Lies" and "Make Loving Fun" score pretty high. There's one other one with a kickass baseline that Buckingham sings that I can't remember the title -- Don't Aske Me What I Think of You (maybe???)

Truthfully, not a huge fan.

Buckingham sang it on their live album, but it's an old song from the original Fleetwood Mac lineup written by Peter Green.

The original version inspired Jimmy Page to write "Black Dog", incidentally.
