"Kid" shows you watch with regularity
Me?

I love SpongeBob. The writing on that show is simply brilliant. Absurdist humor, existentialism and nihilism - all in a kids show.

Runner up has to go to Chowder. If you have never seen this one, check out "I'm Not Your Boyfriend". It's a classic.

3. Chowder makes me stabby.
We have a strict "no loud, annoying shows" rule here at Casa Lefty, which totally rules out half the kids' programming on TV. Luckily, LK mostly watches nature and science stuff anymore.

Fairly OddParents is kinda cute though. Even if Cosmo's voice makes me want to kill people.

5. I could leave the Boomerang station on all day.
I also love Spongebob, of course, but Boomerang shows all the good cartoons from back in the day. Looney Toons, Tom and Jerry, etc up through Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo and IM Weasel!

13. When I chucked the cable, I stopped watching Naruto.
But, then I found that Hulu has both the original US Naruto and is adding the subtitled Naruto Shippuden episodes.
So I'm catching up quickly.

It's my guilty pleasure.

I really only have a little time to catch up on my Anime, so I'm single tracking Naruto at the moment.
Once I get done, I'll be catching up on Bleach.

I never could get into Avatar for some reason.

36. Billy & Mandy had a great writing crew with severely twisted imaginations
The "Nigel Planter" episodes were classics and they weren't the only ones.

For some reason, it seems just right that the Grim Reaper should have a basso profundo voice with a thick Jamaican accent, mon.

30. I'm partial to the superhero shows

Like Batman the Brave and the Bold. To me the amazing thing is the folks who do the voices of these toons. Usually people you couldn't possibly picture as that character.

Like Deidrich Bader is the voice of Batman on this show. You might remember him from the Drew Carey show as Oswald

Another is Clancy Brown who played Kurgan in "Highlander" he is the voice of Lex Luthor in the Superman animated series and is Mr. Krabs in SpongeBob.

My kid likes Chowder too...made me watch the "I'm not your boyfriend" episode. Funny stuff. :toast:

For basic entertainment, I tend to prefer kids' movies and shows to a lot of the stuff that's out there. I can only take so much violence; and more often than not the sex scenes would be much sexier if they were left to the imagination.

45. Nickelodeon has deteriorated so much over the years
The majority of stuff in a long time has sucked horribly. For me, the heyday was back when they showed Danger Mouse, Pete & Pete, and Rocko's Modern Life. You can't even buy Rocko any more unless you pay some pirate on eBay (complete series, including Prometheus and Bob!)
