My god, I am insane
I get annoyed easily and will walk out of restaurants for the smallest of reasons and will usually never return based on the slight that caused me to get up and leave:

- once because they only had diet coke

- once for waiting 5-10 minutes for a menu even though I was the only customer. The waitress was busy shooting the shit with someone. She actually chased me out to my car demanding to know why I left.

- once for asking me to sit at the bar because there were only 38 tables left.

And now this morning. Every weekend I go out for breakfast and I usually go to this incredible place in Savin Hill called McKenna's Cafe. They have the best breakfast I've probably ever eaten and I enjoy my weekend morning ritual. The place is always mobbed with a long line of people waiting for tables but I never have to worry about that as I just grab a seat at the counter. Today, I walk in as usual past the about 20 people milling about the entrance and grab one of two seats open at the counter.

The woman behind the counter asked me if I had signed in, which I hadn't. She told me I'd have to sign in and wait in line for the counter spot. So I put my coat back on and left.

Now I'm at home eating a warmed shepherd's pie to show them.

7. I am all about OCD
And my god, if people were better at taking hints I wouldn't have to be so passive aggressive.

9. Well now, passive aggressive I view differently. Neither a slave nor a slave owner be.
I don't want to dominate other people, and I don't want them to dominate me. This gets me labeled "passive-aggressive".

As an example, if a random group of strangers is collected, someone feels that they have to "take charge". I don't want to tell others what to do, so I don't take charge, and I am thus "passive". When someone else takes charge and tries to make me do what they want, and I refuse to be dominated, I am "aggressive" for resisting their "authority".

In reality, I don't want to dominate or be dominated, but in our world that is labeled "passive-aggressive".

So, join the club, fellow freeman! :toast:

3. Well, they say admission is the first step to recovery.
:)

Really though, you're confusing logic with proceedure. Sometimes you just have to shake your head and roll with it (not that I'm any good at that LOL).

5. the 2nd and 3rd ones i agree with.
I took my daughter to Buca De Beppo a few weeks ago, there was no one there and the place was open for business, lots of employees though, the hostess tells me it's going to be 15 minutes, i asked her why and she no answer so i said fuck it we're leaving and she said wait i'll get the manager and i said no, make an executive decision and then she went into vapor lock, that was it, see ya.

I won't be going there ever again, the place across the parking lot, they were happy to seat us.

8. had that happen at Dave and Busters
I went before the evening rush, so half the tables were empty. However the hostess said there would be a 35 minutes wait?!?! I repeated if they thought it would be a 35 minute wait while looking past the hostess at all the empty tables. At that point he started to say it would, but then said no, no, we can seat you. :eyes: the only thing that kept me from leaving was the fact that i drove 15 minutes to go there.

Another time I went to a seafood resturant, it was a huge place, and the hostess walked me past TONS of empty tables to sit me all the way in the back by the bar. I almost get the impression that resturants HATE when single people come in, as if they hate to give up tables to only one person, as if we won't deserve one.

13. Remember, in America, if you are single or childless, you don't count.

10. Not getting served will make me leave
I just stopped in to the Alcatraz Brewery in Indianapolis today, because I'd never heard of the place and was curious. I sat at the bar for 20 minutes with nobody even acknowledging I was there.

I was gone.

At least you're not getting text messages from Ms Crazy Face on the other side of town. 3, so far. I swear, she has a radar...how she knew I was here with J, I'll never know. He didn't tell her.
