Poll question: To make nachos or not???
Edited on Sat Feb-28-09 04:41 PM by HopeHoops
Here's the problem. You are all ready to make baked nachos, you think you have everything and gather most of the ingredients and then you realize something tragic. Which is the worst condition that could exist?

On edit: I'm making baked nachos tonight ;}

1. No beer would be tragic!
I'd also need chorizo for those nachos and guacamole.

4. none of those problems are insurmountable alone
IF the chips were stale AND the cooker was out it would be a bummer. If the chips are good you can do nachos in the microwave.

moldy sour cream is a non issue, as it is not needed for good nachos anyway:P

5. In a word: M I L D
:)

(I made nachos too. Love sour cream. Love refried beans, but why did they need to be fried a second time? Never mind how they *look* )

6. "No beer" never happens at my house, so I voted for stale chips, because I can't stand stale chips.
As far as moldy cheddar, just cut the mold off and you're good to go.

7. Cool poll, but I have one question.
Edited on Sat Feb-28-09 08:08 PM by Jamastiene
One of the options involves a sore throat. Hot, spicy stuff like peppers and salsa usually soothes a sore throat when I have one. Is hot, spicy stuff supposed to be bad for a sore throat?

Btw, I'd simply die without onions and peppers. Between the two though, I chose the peppers option, because I love peppers more than onions. :)

12. It doesn't "soothe" the throat - it NUMS THE HELL OUT OF IT!
And contrary to what many people think, capsaicinoids aren't the cause of heartburn. They actually help with digestion and even soothe ulcers.

8. You got me thinking, so I voted for the "sore throat"
NOTHING exacerbates oncoming cold symptoms like dairy products!

9. Well I don't have any hot peppers
or beer
or a sore throat

but I got EVERYTHING ELSE including mild salsa, so I am wondering, why did I just eat my last two grapefruits instead?

oh it could be 'cuz I had the nachos for breakfast
minus the beans

It 's always a good time to make nachos if it occurs to you to make nachos

I'm bound to get a little bit hungry a little bit later . . . .
