I couldn't wait for the American Blu-ray release of The Only Production You Need next month, but the UK version is region-free, so I ordered that a week ago, tops. Here it was today!

Die-hard fans may be aware of the disappointingly washed-out color of the original DVD release that wasn't corrected in the 10th Anniversary Set. Austenites rejoice: on Blu-ray, you can see everything. Patterns in lace, food on the tables--heck, you can read Mr. Bennet's ledger! This thing kicks ass, if that phrasing can possibly apply. The original TV production was only filmed in 16mm, so there is some graininess. This is probably as good as it gets.
