And, from a political point, I never knew DeValera had pulled such a snakey trick on Collins until I saw the movie.

7. De Valera remained petty about Collins..
After Michael's death,De Valera discouraged attempts to honor him. De Valera lived on until 1975 and in fact was present at JFK's funeral.
In summer of 02,I went to Clonakilty to see the unveiling of a statue to honor Michael 80 years after his death. Liam Neeson was there,and he is an awesome sight in the flesh:)
