How long can cats and dogs live and stay healthy? |

I think cats can sometimes live to 20 years, but for dogs it is much less. 13? 15?

I think big dogs have less of a lifespan than smaller dogs, but I'm no expert on dogs.

generally, smaller breeds live longer than larger ones . . . although mixed breeds seem to outlive them all . . . I've had large mutts who lived over 16 years . . . and stayed pretty healthy for most of that time . . . and Heinz 57s make great pets! . . .
