Stern is still incensed."First thing Bush did on 9-11 was get Bin Laden's
family safely out of the country -- gotta protect his pals...then he flew as far away from NY as possible....Oklahoma" And Cheney went underground." (this is paraphrased)

He then vowed to get all his listeners to vote ABB. "We don't need these Bob Jones Jesus freaks in the whitehouse." (paraphrased)

He said he doesn't even like Kerry that much but that he's still the man to get behind....

18. I did that this am.
Sent him the link to Bev's site. Also sent him the link to the 9-11 families' questions. More DUers should do the same.

7. Yea, I just wrote to Serrano
http://www.house.gov/serrano/welcome.html

In a nutshell, a recap thus far this morning:

Serrano said he'd take Howard with him, so Howard can get his questions answered, and help guide him when Powell starts to answer with bullshit. Howard wants to know why Powell needs $500,000 to travel every year. Wants to know just where he goes, why he has to go, and why it's mostly to Las Vegas, and why Powell has to fly first class. What Powell's qualifications are besides being someone son. He also wants to ask why his station cannot sue when fines are imposed, as the FCC holds up or loses paperwork on things such as licensing, which is effective in crippling a station.

As Howard points out, only a court can determine when a station is in violation, not the FCC. He told his listeners yesterday that the FCC has no power in this issue, it is up to the courts, and referenced the 7 dirty words as the only thing that you cannot say on the air- which was determined by the courts. Howard surmises that Powell is afraid of it going to the courts.

Serrano, today, explained to Howard's listeners that they need to pay attention to what is going on. That this is not just happening to Stern or to free speech, but the Republicans are screwing us (my words) in all three branches. They are compound issues.

Howard asked which would be better, to vote Bush* out or have a march of millions in Washington. Serrano told him both.

Howard is hot and angry, and is proving to be a powerful voice. I'm happy he woke up.

9. And He's Doing All of this in the 8am Hour Which is the Most Listened To!
It was great.

It was also pretty hilarious after Serrano got off the phone and they start to goof a little about whispering ridiculous shit for Serrano to ask Powell like "Mr. Powell, have you ever had a threesome"...

how americans made the 'sopranos' is a mystery (?)

11. Howard's wrong. Junior played chickenshit in Nebraska, not Oklahoma.
But otherwise it sounds like a great line. God, does this mean I have to start listening to Stern now? Assuming the nazis don't pull him off the air entirely, that is....

20. Curious...
I don't receive him where I live, so can't listen.

I know he takes callers on-air...are the majority of callers these days calling in support of his anti-Bush rants, or are they RW cranks calling to complain?
